The General Wayne a. Downing Foundation was established to keep the legacy of this great leader alive by continuing to inspire people, shape young leaders, and support our military heroes through community education and support.

The Foundation maintains the Memorial Garden and Educational Wall located at the General Wayne A. Downing International Airport, Peoria, Illinois and supports the General Wayne A. Downing Veteran's Home , Peoria, Illinois and the Genera Wayne A. Downing Scholarship at Illinois Central College, East Peoria, Illinois through collaboration and funding.
